Love this place. 3rd time here and it just keeps getting better.

We were so excited to come back and it was just as ‘perfect’ as ever. The view, the pool, the tennis competitions, the beautiful fireplace, the peace, no phones, the cows , the geese and our favourites, our friendly donkeys. We only went through 6 bags of carrots this time!! Thank you Pat and Ron.
PS – Oh, and the amazing stars!!

Sam & Shaun

Built a fire – climbed a hill – connected with nature – the silence was precious – the beds were so comfortable – time to STOP and smell and taste and see! A very special place.
Nicola and Josie

Loved staying here in winter. The fire was fantastic.

PROPERTY ADDRESS: 1177 Wallanbah Rd, Gloucester. NSW 2422

TRAVELLING FROM GLOUCESTER
As you exit Gloucester, travel North along Bucketts Way towards Taree. After travelling approx 10km turn right into Wallanbah Rd. Continue along the road until it becomes dirt. Our property is 11.17km in from the Bucketts Way junction, opposite the turn off to Yates Ave.

TRAVELLING FROM THE SOUTH:
From the Pacific Hwy turn left into Willina Rd at Coolongolook. Continue through Willina to Bunyah. At the Bunyah Rd junction veer left into Little Bunyah Rd and follow it to its junction with Wallanbah Rd. Turn left into Wallanbah Rd and Barkeldine Farm is the first property on your right.

TRAVELLING FROM THE NORTH:
From the Pacific Hwy, take the overbridge exit at Nabiac and turn left at the roundabout into Wallanbah Rd. Follow Wallanbah Rd for 30 minutes (28 kilometres) inland, (where the road forks – do not veer right towards Kranbach and Gloucester, veer left and stay on Wallanbah Rd)

ON THE PROPERTY:
The Cottage is the building on the lower side of the tennis court with the pool at the back.
The Manager’s Quarters is attached to the Main Homestead and is the room closest to the Cottage. Entry to the Manager’s Quarters is via the sliding screen door at the base of the steps.

Originally a dairy farm owned by the Holstein family, Barkeldine has provided holiday accommodation since the 1970’s. At that time ‘The Bails’ or milking shed was converted into a large Cottage suitable for self-catering accommodation, the Homestead offered Bed and Breakfast stays, and the owners lived in the Old Managers Quarters sharing the Homestead living quarters with their guests.

Ron and Pat Crooks have owned and operated Barkeldine Farm Country Retreat since August 2004 and offer comfortable self-catered holiday accommodation in the Cottage, with the Old Managers Quarters offering an additional queen room for large group overflow. The property is ideal for 2 or 3 families holidaying together, and also a great venue for couples, friends, family gatherings, small group retreats and special event celebrations. Many guests just keep coming back.
