Barkeldine Farm Country Retreat has 2 residences, the Homestead, incorporating the Old Manager’s Quarters, and the Cottage, located on the lower side of the tennis court with adjacent salt water swimming pool. The onsite Historic Hut, built in the 1890’s, is yet to be restored.125 acres of rural country side, Barkeldine Farm is home to approx 25 head of cattle, 3 donkeys & a number of geese. There is always an abundance of wild bird life and you may be lucky to spot the occasional wallaby, echidna or turtle. Miniature frogs can be found down by the creek or in the shady foliage near the Homestead. The property relies on tank water for drinking, washing, showers and filling the pool. Dam water is used for the toilets and outside taps. Mobile reception is limited - signals can usually be received on the top of Boori Boori Hill.
Barkeldine Cottage is self-catering, and accommodates from 2- 12 guests. It has 3 separate bedrooms - Bedroom 1 and 2 have a Queen bed + 2 bunk beds. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds + 2 bunk beds. Bed linen & towels are provided + tea & coffee making supplies & wood for the fire.
The Old Manager’s Quarters is a spacious Queen room with ensuite, attached to the main Homestead, accommodating 2 adults only - an ideal extra room for large groups staying at the Cottage (providing a 3rd queen bed), or as a quiet retreat for the grandparents. Bed linen & towels are provided + tea & coffee making supplies.
